World Cup cricket qualifiers: Nepal sets 291 runs target against Zimbabwe

Kathmandu, June 18: Nepal has set  a target of 291 runs to Zimbabwe for victory in World Cup cricket qualifiers. After winning the toss in Harare, Nepal scored 290 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Openers Kushal Bhurtel and Asif Sheikh played an excellent innings for Nepal. Kushal fell short of completing the century by 1 run.

Wellington Masakanda of Zimbabwe bowled Kushal for 99 runs. He played 95 balls and hit 13 fours and 2 sixes. Similarly, Asif Sheikh was dismissed for 66 runs. Asif scored 66 runs in 100 balls with the help of 7 fours. Asif Wellington is caught out by Ryan Burrell off Masakanda.

Kushal Malla was dismissed for 41 and Rohit Kumar Paudel for 31 runs. Gulsan Jha got out for 13 runs while Bhim Sarki could not open the account. Richard Nagarbha of Zimbabwe took 4 wickets.
