Chair Ansari urges to allocate quota for scholarship from India

Kathmandu, June 22 : The Muslim Commission has requested to set aside a quota for scholarships from India. Samim Mian Ansari, the chairman of the Commission, has asked the senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, Vijay Jolly, who is visiting Nepal, to allocate a quota for the scholarships that India gives to Nepali students. He also asked Muslims to determine the quota for scholarships to be given to Nepal.

Leader Joly had reached the commission’s office in Jawalakhel to meet Chairman Ansari. In response, Leader Joly stated that he is positive to the commission’s demand and promised to discuss with the stakeholders. Leader Joly praised the work done by the commission for the upliftment and development of the Muslim community in Nepal. President Ansari had met Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Indian National Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqbi during his visit to India a year ago and demanded to set aside quota for Muslims in the MBBS scholarships offered by India.
