Janakpur Royals defeated Far West United by 82 runs in the second match of Nepal Premier League T-20 cricket held on Monday.
Chasing the target of 162 runs given by Janakpur, Far West was bowled out after scoring 79 runs in 15 overs. Hashmatullah Shahidi scored the highest 32 runs for him. On the bowling side, Samiullah Shinwari of Janakpur took three wickets and Sompal Kami and Pawan Sarraf took two wickets each.
Earlier, Janakpur, who batted first at the University Cricket Ground, scored 161 runs after losing seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sandeep Zora scored the highest 55 runs for Janakpur. On the bowling side, Far West’s Prakash Jaisi took three wickets and Bhuvan Karki took two wickets.
Janakpur is in the second place in the table with 10 points after winning five games in seven games. Far West, who have played one less game, are at the bottom with two points after winning one game.
