Kathmandu : The Revenue Investigation Department has detained six people including three employees of the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office in the quintal gold scandal.
The revenue investigation team took them into custody from Kathmandu on Sunday. According to the revenue sources, among the accused are customs employees Santosh Chand, Kumar Dhakal and Saroj Shrestha, while there are three customs agents.
Sudarshan Gautam, Yadav Parajuli and Rukmina Subba are the agents involved. The department has not revealed their involvement in this incident.
According to the investigation department, the number of people involved in this case has reached 16. Those arrested have been kept in the custody of the department.
