The Krishna Bhusan Bal Memorial Foundation, Biratnagar, has announced three prizes for the year 2078 BS.The Foundation named Krishna Bhusan Bal Memorial Creative Prize to poet and song writer Dinesh Adhikari for his relentless contribution to Nepali literature. Poet Adhikari is active in the field of Nepali literature for the past five decades on. The prize carries a purse of Rs 50,000 and a letter of appreciation.
Likewise, Krishna Bhusal Bal Memorial Creative Special Award would be given to poet Sudha M. Rai (Sikkim) and Krishna Bhusan Bal Memorial Youth Creative Prize to poet Roshan Pariyar. Krishna Bhusal Bal Memorial Creative Special Award carries a purse of Rs 15,000 while the winner of Krishna Bhusan Bal Memorial Youth Creative Prize shall get Rs 11,000.
A meeting of Foundation’s working committee attended by Patron Shova Lama Bal, Chairman Prof Dr Tanka Prasad Neupane and others took a decision to award the literary figures. The prizes would be given away to the awardees on 4 March in Biratnagar, the Foundation said.
