Kathmandu: The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the wholesale prices of agricultural products for today. According to the committee, the price of large tomatoes (Indian) is Rs. 75 per kg, small local tomatoes Rs. 30 per kg, small Indian tomatoes Rs. 35 per kg, and small Terai tomatoes Rs. 40 per kg. Red potatoes cost Rs. 20 per kg, Indian red potatoes Rs. 22 per kg, and dried onions (Indian) Rs. 36 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs. 35 per kg, Terai carrots Rs. 25 per kg, local cabbage Rs. 30 per kg, hybrid cabbage Rs. 25 per kg, local cauliflower Rs. 65 per kg, Jyapu cauliflower Rs. 80 per kg, and Terai cauliflower Rs. 50 per kg. Local white radish costs Rs. 20 per kg, hybrid white radish Rs. 30 per kg, long brinjal Rs. 60 per kg, and round brinjal Rs. 70 per kg.
Likewise, yardlong beans are priced at Rs. 80 per kg, green peas Rs. 70 per kg, local broad beans Rs. 90 per kg, hybrid broad beans Rs. 80 per kg, rajma beans Rs. 100 per kg, flat beans Rs. 75 per kg, bitter gourd Rs. 150 per kg, bottle gourd Rs. 80 per kg, pointed gourd (Terai) Rs. 100 per kg, sponge gourd Rs. 90 per kg, ripe pumpkin Rs. 60 per kg, green pumpkin (long) Rs. 40 per kg, green pumpkin (round) Rs. 30 per kg, okra Rs. 120 per kg, sweet potato Rs. 70 per kg, bitter cucumber Rs. 70 per kg, taro root Rs. 60 per kg, and chayote Rs. 50 per kg.
