Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the fixed rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 147.96, while the selling rate is NPR 148.56.
Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one Euro are NPR 172.82 and NPR 173.53 respectively. The UK Pound Sterling is set at a buying rate of NPR 198.45 and a selling rate of NPR 199.26, while the Swiss Franc stands at NPR 187.05 for buying and NPR 187.81 for selling.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is NPR 104.13 and the selling rate is NPR 104.55. The Canadian dollar is set at NPR 106.86 for buying and NPR 107.29 for selling, while the Singapore dollar is fixed at NPR 116.07 for buying and NPR 116.54 for selling.
For the Japanese Yen, the buying rate for 10 yen is NPR 9.31 and the selling rate is NPR 9.35. The Chinese Yuan is set at NPR 21.64 for buying and NPR 21.72 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 39.43 and a selling rate of NPR 39.59, while the Qatari Riyal is fixed at NPR 40.58 for buying and NPR 40.75 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is set at NPR 4.61 for buying and NPR 4.63 for selling. The UAE Dirham is fixed at NPR 40.29 for buying and NPR 40.45 for selling, while the Malaysian Ringgit stands at NPR 37.15 for buying and NPR 37.30 for selling. The South Korean Won (per 100) is set at NPR 9.99 for buying and NPR 10.03 for selling.
Likewise, the Swedish Krona has a buying rate of NPR 15.88 and a selling rate of NPR 15.95, while the Danish Krone is set at NPR 23.13 for buying and NPR 23.22 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.89 for buying and NPR 18.96 for selling. The Kuwaiti Dinar is set at NPR 482.74 for buying and NPR 484.70 for selling, the Bahraini Dinar at NPR 392.21 for buying and NPR 393.80 for selling, and the Omani Riyal at NPR 384.31 for buying and NPR 385.87 for selling.
Similarly, the exchange rate for Indian currency has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per INR 100. The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
