Kathmandu: According to the foreign exchange rates निर्धारित by Nepal Rastra Bank for today (Wednesday), the value of the US dollar has increased. The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 149.31, while the selling rate stands at NPR 149.91.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Euro is NPR 175.69 and the selling rate is NPR 176.39. The UK Pound Sterling has been set at a buying rate of NPR 201.84 and a selling rate of NPR 202.66.
The Swiss Franc is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 191.53 and a selling rate of NPR 192.30. Likewise, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 106.95 and a selling rate of NPR 107.38. The Canadian Dollar is set at NPR 109.34 for buying and NPR 109.78 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar stands at NPR 117.42 for buying and NPR 117.90 for selling.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese Yen has a buying rate of NPR 9.38 and a selling rate of NPR 9.42, while one Chinese Yuan is valued at NPR 21.91 for buying and NPR 21.99 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is fixed at NPR 39.81 (buying) and NPR 39.97 (selling), and the Qatari Riyal at NPR 40.96 (buying) and NPR 41.12 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is traded at NPR 4.66 (buying) and NPR 4.68 (selling). The UAE Dirham stands at NPR 40.65 (buying) and NPR 40.81 (selling), while the Malaysian Ringgit is NPR 37.79 (buying) and NPR 37.94 (selling).
Furthermore, 100 South Korean Won has a buying rate of NPR 10.16 and a selling rate of NPR 10.20. The Swedish Krona is set at NPR 16.33 (buying) and NPR 16.39 (selling), while the Danish Krone stands at NPR 23.51 (buying) and NPR 23.60 (selling). The Hong Kong Dollar is valued at NPR 19.07 (buying) and NPR 19.14 (selling).
Among higher-valued currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 487.38 and a selling rate of NPR 489.34, while the Bahraini Dinar is NPR 395.89 (buying) and NPR 397.48 (selling). The Omani Riyal is set at NPR 387.81 (buying) and NPR 389.37 (selling).
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for Indian currency (INR 100) has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
