Bhadrapur (Jhapa): Petroleum products worth NPR 16 billion 81 crore 36 lakh 30 thousand have been imported through the eastern border point of Kakarbhitta as of the end of Chaitra in the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to Ishwarkumar Humagai, Information Officer and Customs Officer at the Mechi Customs Office, products such as petrol, diesel, LPG gas, ATF, and coal were imported during this period.
He informed that revenue amounting to NPR 7 billion 44 crore 78 lakh 18 thousand has been collected from petroleum imports in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.
According to the office’s data, during this period, 83,448 kiloliters of petrol worth NPR 7 billion 75 crore 94 lakh were imported.
Similarly, 55,024 kiloliters of diesel worth NPR 5 billion 87 crore 18 lakh were imported. In addition, 19,136.693 metric tons of LPG gas worth NPR 1 billion 90 crore 59 lakh, 5,988 kiloliters of ATF worth NPR 57 crore 51 lakh, and 34,524.490 metric tons of coal worth NPR 70 crore 12 lakh were imported, said Information Officer Humagai.
