Kathmandu – The Problematic Cooperative Management Committee has begun publishing the names of major loan defaulters associated with troubled cooperatives.
According to the Committee, the names of major borrowers from 10 cooperatives declared problematic were made public on Wednesday. The Committee stated that the names of large defaulters from other troubled cooperatives will also be disclosed gradually.
Issuing a public notice, the Committee urged the concerned borrowers to contact its office as soon as possible and settle their outstanding loans. It warned that legal action and recovery procedures would be initiated in accordance with the law if the dues are not cleared promptly.
