Kathmandu: Ten thousand eight hundred and forty-five electric vehicles worth Rs 25.55 billion have been imported in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. The Department of Customs stated that various types of EVs with capacities ranging from 50 kW to 201 kW have been imported during this period.
During that period, 3,680 electric vehicles with a capacity of 50 kilowatts, worth Rs 5.65 billion, were imported. Similarly, 6,357 electric vehicles ranging from 51 kilowatts to 100 kilowatts, worth Rs 16 billion 497 million and 946 thousand, have been imported during the same period, the Department stated.(RSS)
