NWPP, RJP not to support government

Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party (NWPP) and Rastriya Janamorcha Party (RJP) have decided not to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Airing views in a session of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, NWPP leader Prem Suwal informed the House about the party’s decision not to support the Prime Minister’s proposal to seek a vote of confidence.

He took time to advise the government to regulate the Nepal-India borders, discourage dilly-dallying in government service delivery system, prevent corruption, act against increasing air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley and protect heritages and culture in the Valley with priorities.

Similarly, RJP Chair Chitra Bahadur KC said though government’s priorities and common minimum programmes sounded good, challenges were there to enforce them.

‘The party is not in the position of supporting the government and giving a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister. We continue to raise the issues of nationality and sovereignty relentlessly,’ the leader said.
