Kathmandu, 23 Jan: A complaint has been lodged against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane in the federal parliament. Yubaraj Safal, who claims to be an activist, lodged a complaint with the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Federal Parliament and Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Tuesday.
News that at least Rs 520 million of 35,000 savers were drowned in Galaxy TV, as well as evidence of deposit of Rs 18 million from the cooperative in bavi Lamichhane’s account has come to light. “The documents related to the purchase and sale of shares of Gorkha Media Network worth Rs 18 million of Rabi Lamichhane have also been made public,” he said, adding, “Therefore, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has also seized the cooperative files and investigated the cooperative fraud case of Rabi Lamichhane.” Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an impartial investigation into the involvement of Rabi Lamichhane in the scam of about Rs 520 million of 35,000 savers and take action against the culprits. ’
He said a parliamentary inquiry committee was needed to conduct necessary investigation into the issue related to cooperative fraud of Rabi Lamichhane. “As a parliamentary inquiry committee is required, I have immediately formed a parliamentary inquiry committee and submitted a petition to the Honourable Speaker to take action against the culprits and give justice to the victims,” he said.
