Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank has set the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the determined rates, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at NPR 147.50, while the selling rate is NPR 148.10. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one euro are NPR 169.83 and NPR 170.52 respectively. The UK pound sterling is valued at NPR 196.67 (buying) and NPR 197.47 (selling), while the Swiss franc is set at NPR 187.55 (buying) and NPR 188.31 (selling).
The Australian dollar is fixed at NPR 104.51 (buying) and NPR 104.94 (selling), the Canadian dollar at NPR 107.64 (buying) and NPR 108.08 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at NPR 115.45 (buying) and NPR 115.92 (selling). The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen are NPR 9.28 and NPR 9.31 respectively, while one Chinese yuan is valued at NPR 21.42 (buying) and NPR 21.50 (selling).
Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal is set at NPR 39.28 (buying) and NPR 39.44 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at NPR 40.36 (buying) and NPR 40.52 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht stands at NPR 4.55 (buying) and NPR 4.57 (selling), the UAE dirham at NPR 40.16 (buying) and NPR 40.33 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 37.65 (buying) and NPR 37.80 (selling). The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won are NPR 9.89 and NPR 9.93 respectively. The Swedish krona is valued at NPR 15.83 (buying) and NPR 15.90 (selling), while the Danish krone stands at NPR 22.73 (buying) and NPR 22.82 (selling).
Furthermore, the Hong Kong dollar is fixed at NPR 18.82 (buying) and NPR 18.90 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at NPR 480.77 (buying) and NPR 482.72 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at NPR 390.68 (buying) and NPR 392.27 (selling), and the Omani riyal at NPR 383.12 (buying) and NPR 384.68 (selling).
Meanwhile, the buying rate for INR 100 is set at NPR 160.00, with the selling rate at NPR 160.15. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
