Kathmandu : Amid a continuous rise in global petroleum prices due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Nepal Oil Corporation has decided to keep the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and LPG unchanged for the time being.
According to the Corporation, the latest procurement prices received from Indian Oil Corporation on Chaitra 17 indicate increases of NPR 41.60 per liter for petrol, NPR 94.93 per liter for diesel and kerosene, NPR 190.36 per cylinder for LPG, and NPR 123.80 per liter for aviation fuel.
The Corporation stated that maintaining current prices will result in significant financial losses. Considering this, the price of aviation fuel has been adjusted to reach a “no profit, no loss” (break-even) position.
It also noted that rising international prices have caused unexpected increases in losses, potentially weakening the Corporation’s financial condition and posing risks to the supply system. Meanwhile, the Corporation has urged all consumers to use petroleum products and LPG sparingly.
