Kathmandu, May 31: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has embarked on a significant four-day visit to India. This afternoon, the Prime Minister, along with a delegation, departed for India via a regular flight provided by Nepal Airlines.
The tour team accompanying Prime Minister Prachanda comprises not only himself but also five other ministers, as approved by the Council of Ministers meeting. The team includes Prakash Jwala, the Minister of Physical Infrastructure, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, NP Saud, the Foreign Minister, Dr. Prakasharan Mahat, the Finance Minister, Ramesh Rijal, the Industry Minister, as well as Prime Minister Prachanda’s daughter, Ganga Dahal, among others.
The delegation, led by Prime Minister Prachanda will conclude their visit and return to Nepal on June 3.This is his first foreign trip since assuming office for the third time on last December.Upon his arrival in Delhi at 2:25 pm, Prime Minister Prachanda will be warmly welcomed by the Minister of State of India and officials from the Ministry of External Affairs.
Following his arrival, Prime Minister Prachanda will proceed directly to Hotel Maurya, where he is scheduled to engage in a meeting with India’s National Security Adviser, Ajit Doval. This meeting is anticipated to be of great significance in fostering cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister will attend a dinner hosted by the Nepali Embassy, where he will have the opportunity to address and connect with Nepali expatriates residing in India. On Thursday, at 11:05 am, Prime Minister Prachanda is set to meet with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi. Prior to this crucial engagement, the Prime Minister will pay his respects to the revered Mahatma Gandhi by visiting his mausoleum at Rajghat and offering floral tributes.
Soon after, several projects will be inaugurated, and a press conference will be organized, during which both the Prime Ministers will address the media.Following that, a courtesy meeting with the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, has been scheduled at 4 o’clock. Prime Minister Prachanda will also have a courtesy meeting with the Indian President, Draupadi Murmu, at 4:30 PM.
At 5:30 in the evening, a program has been arranged to address industrialists and businessmen from both Nepal and India, fostering closer economic ties.On the third day, Prime Minister Prachanda will visit Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, to worship at the Mahakaleshwar temple. Subsequently, he is scheduled to depart for Indore.
On the same day, he will also meet the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, strengthening state-level relations.It is anticipated that Prime Minister Prachanda’s return flight from Delhi will depart at 4:20 pm on the fourth day of the visit, concluding his productive diplomatic engagement in India.
