The newly elected members of Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly have taken the oath of office and secrecy. Man Bahadur Rawal, the senior member elected from Achham, administered the oath of office and secrecy to the members of the Provincial Assembly.
5 members of the Civil Liberation Party and member of the Provincial Assembly of the Nepali Congress, Gita Chaudhary, took the oath in their mother tongue. It is said that other state assembly members took oath in Nepali language.
Earlier on Friday,senior member Rawal took the oath of office and secrecy from the state chief Devraj Joshi.Rawal was sworn in at a ceremony held at the office of the provincial chief. After the swearing-in, the State Assembly Secretariat also organized a tea party to welcome the newly elected members of the State Assembly. Sudurpaschim State Assembly has 53 members.
